Blue Lake at a glance impresses with its uniqueness and beauty. It is located in the tract bruise near the eponymous village . Highland Lake rises to 600 meters above sea level. In size it is small and consists of two funnels. It is expected that this crater of an extinct volcano, which had been flooded with water. Since hydrogen sulfide source feeds the lake, its waters are full of minerals. This gives the lake a nice bluish color. As a result of these features, it gets its name. These days, the water in the Blue Lake is gradually overgrown with reeds and turns into a small mountain swamp area of ​​about 2 hectares. There is not found neither fish nor amphibians or insects. Despite this, the lake is an interesting attraction of the Transcarpathian region. Along the shores of the lake are many hiking trails and nature trails. For a fee, any traveler can tour the lake on a raft. Water from the lake is actively used by local sanatorium for the treatment of various diseases.
